eButcher
eButcher is an industry-first online platform designed to help butchers expand their reach and increase revenue. Vendors can easily establish their own digital shopfronts as well as their own white-labelled app, creating a seamless and modern way to connect with customers and grow their businesses.
Simplifying a highly complex onboarding journey
We crafted a two-phase onboarding process to make joining eButcher seamless and accessible for vendors. The first phase used a multi-step form to collect basic information, capturing key user details early on to allow follow-ups if the process wasn’t completed. Once this step was finalised, vendors were guided through an intuitive wizard to optionally configure all facets of their store, from branding to product categories. For those who skipped the setup, the platform redirected them to their store’s backend, where a clear checklist displayed the remaining steps to take their store live. This approach ensured that every vendor, regardless of their technical skills, could onboard efficiently and confidently.
Creating a bespoke eCommerce solution for the butcher industry
eButcher’s custom platform was meticulously tailored to meet the unique needs of butchers and produce vendors. Key functionality included a variance system to account for weight-based pricing, ensuring customers only paid for what they received. Features like scheduled delivery or pickup times, unit-based ordering, and real-time push notifications enhanced the user experience. The platform’s robust backend supported seamless vendor management of inventory, pricing, and promotions, all designed to handle the complexities of the butcher industry while maintaining ease of use.
Automating custom domain mapping for a fully branded online presence
Our platform introduced advanced domain mapping capabilities, allowing vendors to establish their own branded online stores effortlessly. The system automated the generation of DNS records, verified propagation, and issued SSL certificates once setup was complete – similar to highly advanced platforms such as Shopify, Wix and BigCommerce. With built-in troubleshooting mechanisms and intuitive feedback, vendors could map custom domains to their stores without technical expertise, creating a polished and professional digital storefront.
A marketing website aimed to drive adoption
To complement the platform, we developed a compelling marketing website in WordPress. The site effectively communicated eButcher’s value proposition, encouraging adoption among an audience traditionally hesitant about new technology. The design extended eButcher’s brand identity with a cohesive visual system, including solidified colour palettes and typography. These elements not only created a polished and trustworthy aesthetic but also served to reinforce the platform’s credibility and appeal to potential vendors.
